In the Piazza della Repubblica, the Palazzo VII Aprile.now serves as the Town Hall.

Chiesa Madre sits next to the town hall.

Chiesa del Purgatorio--18th century church and example of Sicilian Baroque architecture

Fountain on Piazzetta Lombardo detta Purgatorio, near the Chiesa del Purgatorio.

Walk around town and you'll find ancient ruins.

Porta Garibaldi

Marsala had its own Good Friday procession but it was nowhere as elaborate as Trapani's.

There was only 1 float and it featured the Virgin Mary.

Marchers pushed their own speaker.

Another sight in Marsala is the Museo Archeologico Baglio Anselmi where you can see a partially reconstructed remains of a Punic Ship, Admission is €4. We didn't make it to the museum because of all the Good Friday festivities.

If you reserve in advance, you can also visit some Marsala cellars.
