TravelingFoodie2

Located in Taormina, the Teatro Antico is a perfect horseshoe-shaped theatre built in the 3rd century BC. It's the 2nd largest Greek theatre in Sicily (after Siracusa's) and was rebuilt by the Romans in the time of Hadrian. It holds concerts and performances in the summer.

Admission is €10.

The scenery, overlooking the sea, is spectacular.

The Belmond Hotel Grand Timeo sits next door and has a spectacular view as well.

There is a museum inside the complex.

Burial box.

You can walk onto the stage.

Mosaics on the floor are still present.
