After checking in, we went in search of lunch. We walked to Ortigia and had hoped to dine at Il Pesce Azzurro but it was already full. We found La Tavernetta Da Piero a few doors down. They had a nice outdoor dining area.
Caponata--€5. Great dish and one of the least expensive caponata we had in Sicily.
Cavatelli alla Norma--€9. Tasted just like all the other alla Norma dishes in Sicily.
Paccheri alla Matalotta--€13. This was quite good. It had little pieces of the fish of the day.
Overall, we were happy with our 2nd choice lunch.
