Cattedrale di Palermo

The Cattedrale di Palermo is a large Arab-Norman building.

The 15th century 3-arched portico took 200 years to complete.

A column inscribed with a passage from the Koran is visible at the southern porch and serves as a reminder of the cathedral's beginnings as a mosque.
