Caffe Sicilia was the other place that was highly ranked for its gelato. They're better known for granitas though. It's located at Corso Vittorio Emanuele, 125.

Copa media--€2.80. We tried the nocciola (hazelnut) and mandorla & cannel (almond & cinnamon). The hazelnut had intense flavors but there were ice crystals. The almond & cinnamon was subtle and the flavor was not intense. It had more ice crystals.

We also tried their granita--€2.80. Since blood oranges were in season, we tried it. The flavor was good and in general the granita was smooth but we did find some larger pieces of ice.

My vote for better gelato goes to Costanza.
