From our hotel in central Basel, it was easy to take public transportation to the Basel Airport--BSL. It was a 2-min walk to Universitatsspital. Catch Bus 38 for 3 stops to Kannenfeldplatz. then Bus 50 for 4 stops to the airport. Total time 24 minutes. The fare was part of the Basel card so it cost me nothing.
The Basel airport was quiet on a Sunday morning so I probably didn't need to get there 2 hours early. Fortunately, I had access to the EuroAirport Lounge, which was really nice.
There were trees in the lounge and it had 2 levels.
Breakfast was nice with cold cuts, cheese and tomato soup. There was the usual pastry selection.
I was there during the breakfast to lunch turnover. Lunch was Green Shrimp Curry over Rice. Pretty tasty.
