We purchased tickets on American Airlines and flew from SFO to LAX to meet up with our traveling companions. From LAX, it was a codeshare with Iberia to Madrid with a final destination of Porto.
At SFO, the Centurion Lounge was still under renovation in September so we accessed the KLM Lounge. The food was not gourmet but it was pretty good.
The best were the meatballs over penne.
The brownie bites weren't bad either.
We arrived at Terminal 5 at LAX and took a bus to access the International Terminal. Apparently, we could have also walked but it would have been a long walk,
LAX has a nice Centurion Lounge, which opened in June 2022. It's located on the 2nd floor of the International Terminal.
There is a full bar.
The food was pretty good.
The lounge has several seating areas as well as a spa. You can sign up for complimentary 15-minute back and neck massages, which were wonderful. We tipped but it was not necessary and the therapists were surprised with the tip. There is a quiet room with 3 flat chairs. Showers are also available.
