Ai Cassari

We had dinner at Ai Cassari because it was recommended by our hotel. It was located nearby, at Via Cassari, 19.

Coperto was €2 per person.

Caponata--€8. Good flavor. Served cold. We thought there were pieces of fish in it.

Spaghetti con Vongole--€15. Good flavor but spaghetti undercooked. I like my pasta al dente but not crunchy..

Spada, grilled--€16. Very thin--1/4 inch but it was grilled perfectly. Moist still.

Salade Vert--€4. This was nothing more than iceberg lettuce and a small amount of arugula. Oil was already added. We weren't served additional oil or vinegar and it needed a little acid to balance out the oil.

A glass of Insolia--€6. Pricy for a white wine in Sicily.

Overall, dinner was disappointing. The pasta was too crunchy and the fish, although good, was a very small portion.
