After checking in, we went in search of lunch in Trapani. The hotel recommended 210 Grammi, a 2-minute walk from the hotel. It's a casual ristorante with outdoor seating. They make their own fresh pasta.
Nice glass of Zibibbo--€6
The ristorante is also known for its tagliere--meat & cheese trays. We ordered the 210 Grammi tray--€19. It was a huge portion with fried dough (a savory beignet), 3 kinds of meat (smoked ham, Nebrodi black pork sausage and Nebrodi bacon) and 3 kinds of cheese (primo sale--Sicilian sheep cheese, terre di munnura--semi hard cow milk cheese, Burino--(a provolone-type cheese). There was also Sicilian jam. It was all delicious and could easily have been enough for lunch for 2-3. As a starter, it could serve 6-8.
Busiati with Shrimp & Pistachio Cream--€15. The busiati is a tight corkscrew pasta. It was prepared perfectly al dente. Good flavor with the shrimp and pistachio.
Risotto di frutti di mare--€15. The risotto was perfectly prepared and had good seafood flavor with lots of mussels, clams, calamari, shrimp and langoustine.
Coperto--€2.50 each. In Italy, it's common to be charged coperto. It usually includes bread.
