Lugo was the capital of Roman Galicia and is a walled city. Pick up a map from the TI near the Catedral and walk the wall.
It's wall was built in the 3rd century and is the only intact Roman wall in the world. It's a Unesco World Heritage Site. There are 10 gates.
Monument to the founders of the city.
Piscina Romana--look through the glass windows to admire the mosaics, possibly part of a thermal bath from the 4th century. It's located near the Catedral.
St. Mary's Catedral
Museo Provincial de Lugo is housed in the former Monasterio de San Francisco.
Casa dos Mosaicos--the archaeological remains of what used to be a Roman home from the 3rd and 4th century.
The Roman Wall can be entered at several points. I recommend walking the entire length of the wall.
Admire the lighting
Interesting buildings within the walled city.
Hogar de Santa Maria.
