Top Things To Do in Monforte de Lemos

A little over an hour west of O Cebreiros, we arrived in Monforte de Lemos. Monforte has a Parador, the former Monasterio de San Vicente, perched on a hill.

Park in the free lot at the southern edge of town, near the Parque dos Condes.

See the Ponte Vella--an old Roman Bridge.

We tried to have pulpo at the Pulperia Os Chaos Churrasco, but it was unfortunately closed during our visit.

See the Parador Monforte de Lemos.

Step inside the Parador into the courtyard. Maybe, even have lunch.

Next to the Parador is the Torre da Homenaxe, the last of the Counts of Lemos medieval castle.

Back at the parking lot, take a look at the College of Nosa Señora da Antiga next door before leaving town.
