After our tour of Breisach, we returned to the ship and had lunch. We then boarded buses to visit the Black Forest.

The drive to the Black Forest was beautiful.

After 45 minutes, we arrived at Hofgut Sternen, a Black Forest village that was very kitschy.

There was even a giant cuckoo clock.

It was reportedly the site where Marie Antoinette stopped in 1770.

You had a choice to see how cuckoo clocks were made or to take a short walk to a waterfall. We chose the latter.

The walk through the woods was pretty and not strenuous. I would recommend sneakers though.

There was a small waterfall.

Then you crossed a wooden bridge.

Before reaching a larger waterfall.

After returning to the village, we watched a demonstration on how a Black Forest cake is made. You could purchase a slice and eat it while you watched. The cake was high in alcohol.

Afterwards, you could shop for cuckoo clocks. They are quite expensive--this one was €1809.
