Restaurant Lowenzorn, Basel

I had read about Restaurant Lowenzorn and made reservations. It's located at Gemsberg 2, 4051.

There's an outdoor courtyard and the restaurant was filled with locals. Not too many tourists, which is always a good sign.

Warm Bierbretzel--CHF3. Nice and soft on the inside. Unfortunately, there was no mustard to dip.

Laberli Chnusperli--1/2 portion CHF14. These were fried liver and they were quite tasty.

Kuttein--CHF28. Tripe, which was tender and not too chewy.

Schweinsbaggli & Spaetzle--CHF36. The pork was quite tender and the sauce was delicious.

I especially loved the spaetzle.

A glass of beer--Ueli Reverenz 3dl--CHF5.60.

Overall, we enjoyed our dinner in the courtyard. Dinner was quite good and the service was efficient. The courtyard was a nice place to hang out.
