The other quinta we visited was Quinta do Panasacal. They grow grapes for Fonseca.

A tour and tasting is €10/person. You get an audioguide which directs you through the vineyards.

The 6 different types of grapes that are grown on the quinta: tinta amarela, tinta barroca, tinta cao, tinta roriz, touriga francesa and touriga nacional.

Looking back at the winery.

The hills are steep.

Where the grapes are stomped.

The port is stored in a stone building.

The tasting room.

Outdoor terrace to enjoy your port.

We tasted 3 different ports for the €10 fee: a Siroco white port, Bin 27 (very popular in the US) and a 10-year-old Tawny. All were quite good.
