THE dessert to have in Segovia is Ponche Segoviano. It's a vanilla cake layered with pastry cream and wrapped with a sheet of marzipan. Powdered sugar is sprinkled on top.
We got ours from Limon y Menta, located at Calle de Isabel la Catolica 2, near the Plaza Mayor.
They wrapped the cake in such a pretty package.
At Limon y Menta, the cakes are individual portions. it was quite good and not too sweet. €3.
