Plaza San Isidoro

TravelingFoodie2

On Plaza San Isidoro, you'll find the San Isidoro church and its museum.

In the square, there is a bronze statue representing Las Cabezadas--a ceremony where the city's representatives present a candle to the church in gratitude for the rain Saint Isidoro bestowed upon Leon.

A 92-foot tall Roman column also sits in the square. There is a stork nest on top.

The church is free so take a look inside.
