We wanted to go on a picnic and discovered Pingo Doce. The supermarket chain has a prepared food section. You can eat there or get it to go.
Caldo verde--€0.99 for a cup. It was not very flavorful.
Bacalhau especial--€4.49. The bacalhau was excellent. The casserole was full of bacalhau. It also came with rice and 2 vegetables. We chose spinach and boiled cauliflower/broccoli.
Our picnic included olives--€0.35, cheese--€0.80 and cheesecake--€1.20.
We also got some rolls--€0.19 each and Pasteis de nata--€0.35 each.
They did not have plastic utensils so we borrowed their metal ones which we returned after we were done.
