The Marquis de Comillas lived next door to El Capricho in the Palacio de Sobrellano. It's a gothic palace built in 1888 and the first in Spain to make use of electrical lighting.
Guided tours are available but none were available in English at the time we visited.
Wander around to the back of the palace to see its less ornate exterior.
Next door is a cathedral.
Look in the distance to find the Foundation Comillas, a private non--profit organization dedicated to promote the Spanish language and culture.
