Other Sights in Amsterdam

We purchased a 24-hour pass for the trams, buses & metros for €9. You can get it at the GVB office, at some hotels, from ticket machines or onboard. Single tickets good for an hour cost €3.

Tap the card on the scanner when you enter and tap again when you exit. You'll hear a beep. Don't tap twice--it invalidates the ticket.

After our Jordaan Walk, we found this sculpture in the Second Marnixplantsoen near the Raampoortbrug bridge

Using our 24-hour pass, we hopped on a tram to tour the rest of Amsterdam. This is Rijksmuseum and the Museumplein.

Entrance to the Albert Cuyp Market.

The Albert Cuyp Market is an outdoor market about 2 city blocks long.

We found Rudi's Original Stroopwafels stand.

The stroopwafel was freshly made. It was split in half and caramel was added. It was SOOO good and only cost €2. What a bargain compared to van Wonderen!

Amsterdam's Convention Center.

These giant sculptures stand outside the Convention Center.

You'll also find the "I amsterdam" letters at the Convention Center. This installation was moved in 2018 from the Museumplein to reduce the tourist numbers in the Museumplein. There weren't too many people taking selfies of these letters at the Convention Center.

The National Opera & Ballet Theater.
