There are many old monasteries in the Ribeira Sacra region. We chose to visit just a few.
The Mosteiro de Santa Cristina is open daily from 10:30-13:45 and 16:00-19:45 April -September and Tue-Sun from 10:30-13:45 and 16:00-18:00 the rest of the year. Admission is €1.
The church is 12th century Romanesque.
Apparently, the acoustics within are excellent and there are several concerts held throughout the year.
