The North Rim of the Grand Canyon closes in the winter. Roads are closed to all vehicles from Dec 1 to May 15 but services are limited beginning Oct 15.
There is a campground in the North Rim of the Grand Canyon but it was full. We were fortunate to arrive on the last night that Kaibab Camper RV Village operated on 10/14. It's located near Jacob Lake and is 30 miles, 1 hour 10 minutes to the North Rim Entrance.

There are picnic tables at each site. You have campers next to you but we did look out on a wooded area. There are tent sites in addition to RV sites.
There are showers--$2.25/5 minute and laundry facilities.
