JFK to MAD on AA 777-200 Business Class

After our bonus day in New York, we boarded our flight to Madrid. We were on American Airlines 777-200 Business Class.

The seat configuration is 1-2-1 with lie-flat beds.

You get noise-cancelling Bang & Olufsen headphones for use during the flight. I thought they were just okay. It drowned out some of the airplane noise but you could still hear a hum.

There were plenty of cubby holes and storage areas for all your electronics, in addition to outlets to charge your equipment.

Plenty of room at your feet.

I pre-ordered our meals. Cajun grilled shrimp with harissa aioli, broccoli slaw and pea shoots and raspberry cheesecake tart were standard.

One entree was Braised Short Ribs with morel jus, potato gratin, roasted sweet potato, asparagus. This was very good. The short ribs were so tender.

The other entree choice I made was Seared Red Snapper with lemon beurre blanc, white wine risotto, glazed sugar snaps and pepper medley. The snapper and beurre blanc were good but the risotto was NOT risotto. It was more like rice.
