From Santillana Del Mar, we drove 30 minutes east to Santander. Our base for the night was the Hotel Silken Coliseum. The hotel was easy to access by car and it was easy to walk to the main sights in Santander. It was a holiday, so there was street parking available. Otherwise, there's a lot at the hotel. The lot is first come, first served. If the lot is full, there are other pay lots nearby.
The rooms are adequately sized. The windows are not well insulated and you can hear outside noise, especially revelers late into the night.
