From the parking lot, you can walk down the path to explore Goblin Valley. There are 3 different valleys, aptly named Goblin Valley 1, 2 and 3. The trails aren't well marked and you can basically walk around and explore the different formations made out of Entrada sandstone. Some look like goblins while others look like gnomes. Let your imagination run wild and name some of the formations.
Be careful if you veer into some of the canyons. It's not so easy to find your way out.
