Buy a drink in Leon and you're served free tapas.
Barrio Humedo is a good place to find tapas. Walk up and down and see what they're serving. We were looking for La Bicha, which apparently serves good morcilla but they were closed.
Meson la Contienda, located at C. Matasiete, 4 looked like a good place to stop.
We had a glass of LaGrima de Vitalis Albarin--€2.40
and chose the Calamari tapas. The calamari had a nice light coating and it was not chewy.
I had a glass of limonada--€1.80. This was like a sangria.
And, I chose a croqueta and potatoes for my tapa. Both were delicious!
On the way back to our hotel, we stopped at Pinseria la Popina.
Their tapas was just bread with a slice of Manchego.
