It's been a long time since I've traveled internationally. My last trip was in November 2019 to London. Then, COVID arrived.
I haven't used my passport in 1 1/2 years and I couldn't wait forever. I decided COVID wasn't going away and it was time to live with it. I searched for a destination that was relatively safe and decided on Spain. Spain is over 70% fully vaccinated and there were mask mandates indoors and outdoors when you can't be more than 6 feet from others. It was better than the US! Plus, when I searched on Google Travel, you could get a business class seat for less than $2000. I love a bargain and I hit the purchase button.
Next on the agenda was deciding where to go. We were flying into Madrid and had been east and south but not northwest. Galicia looked interesting and it was a place we hadn't been to before. We had come up with our first international trip since COVID started! Time to pack the bags.
