Dewars Candy & Ice Cream is another iconic Bakersfield shop. They have several locations but the one on 1120 Eye Street has an old fashioned soda fountain.
They are known for their chews and I like their nut ones the best: peanut (red), almond (brown) and pistachio (green). Be sure to ask which are the freshest and stock up.
