Today was a leisurely start. We passed the Nibelungen Bridge near Worms around 8 am.

We arrived in Mannheim at 10 am to drop off passengers on the Heidelberg Tour.

ree

Program Director Jackie gave a talk on Viking cruising opportunities at 11 am then we arrived in Speyer at 2 pm.

Lunch:

ree

The Orange & Carrot Soup was not sweet and tasted pretty good.

ree

Italian Salad with arugula, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, bresaola, rosemary focaccia and balsamic vinaigrette.

ree

Spaghetti Carbonara had pancetta instead of guanciale but it was still pretty tasty.

ree

Chicken Tikka Masala was just okay.

ree

Flan Parisian was too eggy.

ree

Port talk was at 6:45 pm followed by dinner.

ree

ree

French Onion Soup didn't have depth of flavor.

ree

Baby Arugula Salad with Bacon, Red Onion Marmalade, Toasted Pine Nuts, White Balsamic Vinaigrette.

ree

Seared Halibut Filet Au Beurre Blanc was the better dinner option. This was moist but such a tiny portion.

ree

Roast Duck Breast, Shitake Mushrooms, Butternut Squash, BBQ Sauce. The duck was well prepared pink but the sauce was weird.

ree

We asked for steamed vegetables.

ree

Apple Tarte Tatin

ree

Mango Lassie Cake
