We left Pontevedra at 8:50am and arrived in Caldas de Reis at 2:15pm. It took us less time than anticipated. Our route from Pontevedra to Caldas de Reis was 21 km (12.6 mi), supposed to take 5:40, 231m up/212m down.
It was easy walking through forest, small towns and villages At 3.6 km, the Variante Espiritual Route splits off.

We crossed the Rio Umia to reach Caldas de Reis.

Caldas de Reis is known for hot springs. You'll find several locations in town where the hot water flows.

There is even a place to soak your feet at Lavadero Termal on Rua Don Carlos García Bayón. It's free.
Igrexa de San Tome Becket. Thomas Becket apparently made the pilgrimage 3 years before he was assassinated. The church was built in 1890.
