Antoni Gaudi is known for his whimsical architecture. His most famous works are in Barcelona but he did have some works outside of Catalunya.
The Casa de Botines in Leon is one of his works. It currently houses a museum dedicated to Gaudi, Spanish art of the 19th and 20th century and the history of the building.
Gaudi prefers to use local material, hence the slate for the roof.
Above the door is St. George, the patron saint of Gaudi's native Catalunya.
Gaudi sits on a bench looking at the building.
In his sketchbook is the Casa de Botines.
