We had lunch in Redondela. We found Cafe Samoa offering a menu del dia for €11. It's located at Paseo da Xunqueira 23. You get a starter, main, dessert, drink and cafe. Eating in Spain is so inexpensive, especially when tax is included and tipping is not expected.
One of the options for a starter was a chicken and apple salad. This was quite good and it was a large portion.
Another option for the starter was scrambled eggs with chorizo. Who knew the Spaniards ate scrambled eggs for lunch. The egg with the chorizo was quite tasty.
Carilleros estofadas--braised cheeks was one of the options for the main. This was so tender.
Dessert options were chocolate cake
and flan. Both were good.
