Our host recommended Brasao for francesinha. They have 2 locations in Porto and we tried the one at Rua Passos Manuel, n. 205. You can make reservations or show up when it opens. We arrived at 11:45am on a Saturday for a noon opening and there were 2 others in front of us. By noon, there was a large group.

It's a huge place seating 180 people.

Olives & Capers-- €1.80

Creamy Vegetable Soup-- €3.50. This was squash soup.

Francesinha in the Oven with Egg-- €12.90. Thin steak, ham, 2 types of sausages between 2 pieces of thick bread, drenched with a slightly spicy sauce and cheese. It was much tastier than I expected and not as much of a meat bomb.

Mixed Lettuce Salad-- €3.20. Light mustard dressing.
