Boondocking near Canyonlands

There is a campground in Canyonlands that has toilets, picnic tables and fire rings. There are no hookups nor a dump station. Sites are first-come, first-served. There are also 2 primitive sites outside the park on Hwy 313: Horsethief Campground with 40 sites and Cowboy Campground with 7 sites. Or, just find a dirt road, pull off and you can find a site all to yourself. That's what we did. We found a dirt road and drove down about 1/2 mile.
