Our flight home was in business class--MAD to DFW in a 787-9 then DFW to SFO in an A321.

In Madrid, we had access to the Iberia Lounge. It was large, bright and not crowded at 9 in the morning.

The lounge has showers but they were closed during Covid.

Selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

The food selection was nothing exciting.

American's 787-9 Dreamliner has 30 lie-flat beds in Business Class. It's a 1-2-1 configuration so all seats have access to the aisle. We had the single seats next to the windows and they were nicely set up.

Bang & Olufsen noise-cancelling headphones were not great. The storage area had plenty of space.

ree

There was also plenty of space underneath to store a small carry-on.

We were served warm nuts then the meal was served all at once, not course by course. The soy salmon was overcooked.

ree

The beef was the better choice. The lemon tart was soggy on the bottom.

Prior to arrival, we were served a light lunch. The Grilled Vegetable with Orzo was actually pretty tasty.

ree

Egg white frittata was okay.

In DFW, the Admiral's Club lounge had a couple soup options, spinach and artichoke dip and freshly made guacamole. The chips were stale though.
