From San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, it was a 2.5 hour drive to Burgos. Our base for the evening was the AC Burgos. The hotel is easy to get to by car and it's close to the city center.

Parking at the hotel is expensive. There is street parking, which is fine if you are staying only 1 night. The maximum time is 2 hours then you have to get another ticket. You'll need to pay from 10am-2pm and 4-8 pm.

The rooms were large and clean and had all the conveniences of a 4-star hotel. There was a fridge and safe in the room.

We reserved a room with river view, which is not worth the extra cost.

Breakfast was included in our room rate and it was a good breakfast with lots of different breads,

There was even a Spanish tortilla.
