I made reservations at A Chalandra, located at Av. Serpa Pinto 322, a 2-minute walk from our hotel. On a Monday night in late September, it was not crowded and we didn't need the reservation.
Salada Mista--€4.50. Large enough for 3 to share.
Grilled seabream (robalo escalado) served with potatoes and vegetables--the seabream was €38/kg. We got a large fish--2.5 kg, total was €95. This was large enough for 6 people to share--it came out to €16/person. The seabream was fresh and delicious.
Clockwise, starting at the lower right: Molotof dessert, banana pie, leite creme queimado (similar to creme brulee)--each €3.50. The Molotof was a meringue pudding and very light. The banana pie had good flavor and the leite creme queimado was smooth. The Molotof was our favorite.
Quinta de Outeiro de Baixo Vinho Verde--€15.95. This was a delicious Vinho Verde and worked well with the fish.
Remember in Portugal, there is a charge for everything that is brought to your table. If you don't want it, decline it. We did keep the pao (bread)--€0.50 each and azeitonas (olives)--€1.90.
