Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen & Bar, Milwaukee

Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen & Bar has several locations throughout the United States but none in California. We tried the location at 511 N. Broadway in Milwaukee.

The restaurant was bright and airy.

Housemade Ginger Beer--$4.95. This was good but not spicy enough for me.

Country Fried Cauliflower--$15.95. Large pieces of bee-dusted buttermilk fried cauliflower served with dijonnaise and choice of 2 sides--we chose brussel sprouts and collard greens with bacon. This was delicious and the fried cauliflower tasted just like fried chicken.

The Caesar Proper--$12.95. We added fried chicken for $6.50. The fried chicken slices were quite good.

We liked dinner so much, we went back the next morning for brunch.

Bloody Mary with bacon & olives--$8.95.

Biscuits for a Cause--$4. Two buttermilk biscuits served with blueberry jam and whipped butter. Proceeds go to their Tupelo Honey Relief & Development Fund that aid their employees in need.

Sriracha Honey Fried Chicken & Waffles--$16.95. The fried chicken was sweet & spicy and the buttermilk waffles were delicious.
