Top Things To See in Milwaukee--The Brewery Neighborhood

We modified the Brewery Neighborhood walk from "Walking Milwaukee by Royal Brevvaxling and Molly Snyder" and started at the "Acqua Grylli" on the Riverwalk. It is a public art work by Beth Sahagian that depicts a mythical female figure. It's located on the west side of the Milwaukee River between Wells Street and Kilbourn Avenue.


Continue along the Riverwalk.

Pere Marquette Park is part of the Milwaukee County Park System and is located on the riverfront.


"Dancing Through Life" located in the park.


The park also houses the Milwaukee County Historical Society.


A statue of Pere Marquette, a Jesuit missionary who explored the upper Mississippi in 1673 and stayed here in 1674. He was one of the first white men to visit this site.


Boats line the riverfront.


Now, you're entering German Town.


Usinger's makes German-style smoked sausage and meats. It opened in 1880 and is run by the 4th generation of the family.


The Spice House has nice spices, which you can also order online.


Mader's Restaurant is Milwaukee's oldest restaurant. It features old-school Germain cuisine.


Wisconsin Cheese Mart boasts having the world's largest Wisconsin Cheese selection. You can get samples inside.


The Fiserv Forum is home of the Milwaukee Bucks and the Marquette Golden Eagles. It was built in 2018 and hosts roughly 200 events/year.

We followed the river north and found a sculpture park. This one is by Aharon Bezalel. It was untitled.

Further along the river, Schlitz Park is a 32-acre campus that was once home to the Schlitz Brewing Company. Today, it houses an office community.
