We took the oysters to Tomales Bay State Beach and had a picnic at Heart's Desire Beach. It was a 30 minute drive to the end of Tomales Bay and up the western side of the bay.
Admission to the state park is $8. Heart's Desire Beach has a parking lot and a nice picnic area. There are grills next to picnic tables.

The beach is sandy and the water is calm.

From Heart's Desire, head north on the 0.8 mile hiking loop to Indian Beach. Here, you'll find reconstructed Miwok Indian bark shelters called Kotchas.

Take the inland loop back to Hart's Desire and head south on the Johnstone Trail.

Prior to reaching Vista Point Picnic Area, there is a single picnic table with a nice view of the bay. The picnic table has seen better days so bring a tablecloth. It's a nice private area.

The Vista Point Picnic Area has several picnic tables in 2 areas. Water and bathrooms are available.

Walk a little further to reach Pebble Beach.

Then, backtrack to Hart's Desire.
