Singapore has 67 Michelin Bib Gourmand spots. Quite a few of them are food stalls. We visited several at the Tiong Bahru Market, located at 52 Tiong Bahru Road.

Our first stop was Jian Bo Shui Kueh.

Shui Kueh--5 for SGD3 ($2.18). These were steamed rice cakes with a radish sauce on top. They were quite good.

Tiong Bahru Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice

ree

Hainanese Chicken Rice--SGD 3.50 ($2.54). The chicken pieces were tender and the rice was so flavorful. Dip the chicken in the ginger/garlic and hot sauce.

Lor Mee 178

Lor Mee--SGD4 ($2.91). Noodles in a gravy with pieces of fried shark. Follow the locals and add vinegar and hot sauce on top. This was good with the vinegar flavor.

I really wanted to try Hong Heng Fried Sotong Prawn Mee but they were closed on Sundays & Mondays. Boo.
