The Mayo Family Winery offered a wine & food pairing for $69 at The Reserve Room, located at 9200 Sonoma Hwy in Kenwood. The menu changes seasonally.
There is outdoor seating at picnic tables. It is next to the Sonoma Hwy so it can get noisy. The indoor seating is quite nice.
There are 7 courses paired with 7 wines. We were there in September and the Summer Menu was still being served:
Watermelon Salad, Local Feta, English Cucumber, Raspberry-Champagne Vinaigrette paired with 2015 Brut, laurel Hill Vineyard.
Prawn "Samosa" with Local Corn Chutney, paired with 2017 Reserve Chardonnay, Laurel Hill Vineyard.
Local Ratatouille, Polenta Crostino, Parmigiano-Reggiano, paired with 2018 Reserve Pinot Noir, Laurel Hill Vineyard.
Moroccan-Spiced Chicken, Preserved Lemon, Herbed Couscous, paired with 2018 Reserve Zinfandel, Ricci Vineyard, "Old Vines"
Taco "Quesabirria" with Aged White Cheddar, paired with 2017 Reserve Malbec, Hollister Hill Vineyard
Local Camembert & Peperonata with Housemade Flatbread, paired with 2016 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, Random Ridge Vineyard
Lemon-Raspbberry Tea Cake with Whipped Creme Fraiche, paired with Late Harvest Gewurztramier, Kunde Ranch Vineyard.
It was a nice wine & food pairing, at a good price point. It makes for a pleasant couple hours.
