Senglea

The Three Cities, situated across the Grand Harbour from Valletta, were the original home of the Knights of St. John. It comprises Senglea, Cospicua and Vittoriosa.


You can take a ferry or bus from Valletta to reach the Three Cities.


The entrance to Senglea, if you arrive by bus or foot.

After entering the gate, you'll find palm trees. Walk up the peninsula on the left and return on the right.

Maltese boats have eyes of Osiris painted on their bow to ward off evil spirits.

Flat bottom boats are also common in Malta

Monument on the waterfront dedicated to sailors and their families. It is made of lava rock from Mt. Etna, symbolizing resistance to the suffering that families endure as the sailors set out to sea.
