We spent the night at the Hotel Metropol, a short walk from the HBF.
Breakfast was quite nice but it was scary to eat in the dining room. Even though Munich was in the middle of a COVID surge, there were still buffet lines where you served yourself. Fortunately, there was a restroom nearby where I could wash my hands frequently.
The white sausage is Weisswurst, It's a Bavarian breakfast specialty. Remove the veal sausage from its casing and eat it with brown mustard.
There were also pretzels and cookies for breakfast.
