More Hawker Stands--Bonus Day in Singapore

TravelingFoodie2

We ate at more Hawker Centers during our bonus day in Singapore.

People's Park Complex, located at 1 Park Road, is a locals' place. There were few tourists. Bai Xing Noodles is located in the back of the complex, outdoors.

Xiao Long Bao--SGD5 ($3.74) for 6 & Water Dumplings--SGD6 ($4.50). Both were good.

Coconut--SGD2.50 ($1.87). Drink the juice and then scrape out the pieces of fresh coconut.

We then went to the Chinatown Complex and found Hawker Chan open.

Soy Sauce Chicken--SGD3.50 ($2.62). It was just as good as before. Not sure why they lost their Michelin star.

Super Mummy had carrot cake.

Fried Black Carrot Cake--SGD3.50 ($2.62). Carrot cake in Singapore is not the sweet cake with cream cheese frosting. It's actually turnip cake. Black means it's fried in soy sauce. Tasty.

Lime & Sour Plum Drink--SGD1.40 ($1.05). It was a lime drink with a sour plum on the bottom. Interesting flavor--a little sour, a little salty and a little sweet. You have to be a fan of sour plum to enjoy this drink.

Back at the cruise terminal, there was an attached indoor shopping mall. We had a few more SGD to spend so we went in search of what we could buy with what we had left and found this dessert place.

Chendol--SGD3.40 ($2.54). Chendol is an iced sweet dessert that contains green rice flour jelly, coconut milk and palm sugar syrup. Ours also had red beans.
