It was a beautiful Monday and I had the day off. We decided to head to Tomales Bay and the Hog Island Oyster Company. It's located at 20215 Shoreline Hwy.

Oysters available: Kumamotos ($20/dozen), Extra Small Sweetwaters ($14/dozen), Extra Small Earthquakes ($18/dozen), Small Sweetwaters ($18/dozen) and Medium Sweetwaters ($20/dozen).

The extra small sweetwaters were perfect on the half shell.

The smalls were more like mediums but were still good on the half shell.

The medium size oysters were perfect on the grill. I added butter, cilantro and lime zest. After grilling, the oyster liquor concentrated and became salty.
