Geyserville Grille

Geyserville Grille is located at 21712 Geyserville Avenue in Geyserville. They had a 3-course dinner for $35.

One of 2 choices for the first course was the daily cup of soup, which happened to be clam chowder. This was thick and had good sized clam. There were big chunks of potatoes but I didn't mind them. There was an equal amount of clam.

The other option for the first course was Sonoma Greens Salad--mixed greens, Asian pear, red onion, dried cranberries, toasted pecans, blue cheese, apple cider vinaigrette. The onions were sliced too thick but otherwise, the salad was fine.

One of the options for the main course was Herb Roasted Quarter Chicken with Wild Mushroom Au Jus. The chicken had been brined and was tender. It was served with mashed potatoes and vegetables.

The other option was Beef Tip in Red Wine Demi Glacé. The Demi Glacé was very rich and flavorful. The dish was also served with mashed potatoes and vegetables.

Dessert options included Creme Brûlée. This was very eggy and not too sweet. Some at my table thought it could have been sweeter.

English Style Toffee Pudding, served with ice cream. This was quite good.

The last dessert option was Cheesecake. It was supposed to be served with fresh strawberries but instead there was a strawberry drizzle. This was a huge slice and the cheesecake was dense and delicious.

We liked dinner at Geyserville Grille better than our dinner at La Gare. It was tastier and the portions were bigger.
