Next up was Franchettis'. It's located at 1229 N. Dutton in a strip mall, but they do have a nice outdoor area. The tables are spread 6 feet apart.
Franchettis' offered 2 options for Restaurant Week: 2 courses (small plate + dessert) for $19 or 3 courses (small plate + entree + dessert) for $29. Everyone at the table has to choose either 2 courses or 3 courses.
Small plate options were burrata, Fluggers bacon, raspberry rhubarb jam, hot honey, house focaccia. We really liked the raspberry rhubarb jam and it worked well with the burrata and bacon.

Dungeness crab, thin herbaceous crepe style pancakes, wood fire roasted asparagus. This was loaded with crab and the herbaceous crepes were good.

BBQ shrimp New Orleans style, rich creamy sauce on house focaccia. The sauce was delicious and the shrimp was well prepared. You got 4 large shrimp.

Entree options were dungeness crab panini, white cheddar, mayo, herbs, toasted sliced brioche. I'm not sure we got the brioche; it seemed like white toast. There was a lot of crab but this dish was nothing exciting.

Ciopino (yes, it was spelled with only 1 "p") pasta, shrimp and crab. The pasta was cooked al dente but there was an off taste. I wonder if it's the water in which it was boiled.

Beef rouladen, braised red cabbage, roasted potatoes. The beef was dry but the cabbage was nice and the potatoes were creamy on the inside and crispy on the outside.

Dessert options were apple strudel and schlag (a softer whipped cream). The schlag was unsweetened whipped cream.. The strudel was a small slice. The apples were good but the dough was too thick.

Pistachio gelato and double trouble chocolate bite. The gelato had good flavor but it was melted by the time it reached us. The double trouble chocolate bite was a brownie.

Final impressions: we liked the small plates much more than the entrees and our favorite was probably the crab and asparagus dish, although the BBQ shrimp came in at a close 2nd. The sauce on the BBQ shrimp was delicious.
