Castello di Amorosa, Napa Valley

The Castello di Amorosa is a 13th century Tuscan castle built by Dario Sattui in Napa Valley. It has 107 rooms spread over 121,000 sf and took 15 years to complete. Tours and tastings are offered.

The castle was built using material and techniques medieval builders used.

We happened to be there in the fall when harvest was taking place.

The tour takes you inside some of the rooms. The Great Hall has hand-painted Italian frescoes and two thrones.

We had the Cheese & Charcuterie Pairing. It included a tasting of 5 reserve wines. It's a nice afternoon outing if you're visiting Napa Valley.
