Hana is reported to be the best sushi restaurant in the North Bay. I would have to agree. It's located at 101 Golf Course Drive in Rohnert Park.
They have a very nice outside area overlooking the golf course. There are walls set up to divide the diners, making it COVID safer.
Lemon Squash--$7. Homemade organic lemon syrup with Swan soda. This arrived at the table and we didn't realize we needed to stir it before drinking. Initially, we got just the soda water then as we drank, the lemon syrup was obvious but too sweet at this point.
Agedashi Tofu--$7. Flash fried tofu with dashi stock. The tofu was creamy and the coating was light. Just 3 pieces in an order.
Chawanmushi--$13. Savory dashi egg custard with prawns, scallops, shiitake, ikura. This was so good but a little on the salty side.
Hokkaido Miso Ramen--$18. Served in miso based broth with chasu, boiled egg and menma (fermented bamboo shoots). The chasu and egg were overcooked. I like the egg to be soft with a runny yolk. The ramen was well cooked though. The broth was too salty.
Spider Roll--$14. Soft shell crab, tobiko, kaiware (daikon radish sprouts). This was one of the best spider rolls I have ever had. The crab was sweet & juicy and cooked just right.
Akami (blue fin tuna)--$13 for 2 pieces. Hamachi (yellow tail)--$10 for 2 pieces. The sushi was definitely fresh and they were large pieces of fish. Just a small amount of rice--just the perfect amount.
