Watson's BBQ

We stopped at Watson's BBQ, located in the Tucumcari Ranch Supply. It's just north of Route 66 at 502 S. Lake.

Note the buzzards hanging out on the windmill.

Go inside the Ranch Supply store and head to the back. Order at the counter.

There are tables for dining inside.

Or, take your food outside and sit at one of the picnic tables.

Make sure to leave a message on the rafter. They'll even supply you with a Sharpie.

I ordered a 2-meat plate with pulled pork & brisket--$14.95. Both were quite tender. The plate came with 2 sides and I chose potato salad & coleslaw. Other sides included beans, mac n cheese and chips. The plate also came with a cookie and a slice of Texas toast.

We also tried the homemade Peach Cobbler--$2.75. Add $0.50 for a scoop of ice cream. I really wanted to try the Green Chili & Apple Cobbler but she ran out. She did give me a sample and it was delicious! The peach cobbler was okay but definitely get the green chili & apple cobbler if it's available.
